I'm on a 767 right now. On the underside of the arm rest, almost at the back,
There is a hole. Inserting my finger up into that hole, I can feel a little button. That's the release to raise the aisle armrest.
Now I'm going to check how it works on other planes when I get the chance.

i would say 9/10 times the armrest goes up. you just need to find the latch.

Most airlines do. You just have to know how to do it. There is an obscure lever
