If you call an Outback a sedan, then yes. Driving in big snow conditions is how to get the best snow, so I need something that is able to manage stable driving in at least 6 inches of snow. Even AWD sedans don’t quite cut it. Having those extra few inches of clearance is important more than I would have thought.
It is kind of a bummer, an AWD sedan (Audi) with a rack for the skis is cool, and I have done it that way before, but having at least an outback has been a game changer. It is less about the roads and more about the parking lots and transitions.
