They brought Tony and Steve's arcs to a nice close, but they made it clear that Thor is still figuring how who he wants to be. It's odd that he's 1500 years old and still hasn't figured it out yet, but maybe having your entire civilization destroyed with just a few refugees surviving causes you to reexamine that.

Chris Hemsworth has made Thor into a brilliant character, which thing I had not thought possible in 2011. I'm glad it looks like he will be sticking around in the MCU.

And you take him with you on the heist because you're going to his home; he's the only one who knows where to go and where not to go.
