Bad Boys, Six Degrees of Separation, Independence Day, Where the Day Takes You,

all movies before MIB where Will Smith received billing right alongside other stars. Maybe not the blockbuster movies, but he'd been cast in those movies and was also in "Made in America", although his name isn't as prominent on the movie poster as Ted Danson's and Whoopi Goldberg's.
