One thing that is not mentioned, is that Utah was preparing for the Pac 12 championship game. With that, some key players, particularly on defense, were taken out of the game at times in the first half to prevent any possible injuries. That's when BYU built the 20-0 lead. If a few of BYU's players exiting the game in the 2nd half affected the outcome in the 2nd half, then you must account for Utah playing some backups in the first half, and that affected Utah's first half play. So it evens out a lot more. Of course, I am disappointed that Utah's backups that played part of the first half were not prepared, and played poorly.
