You can't compare the worst season in half a century to a down year. Even last year Football had the worst finish (63) since 2003 (apart from 2017).
Sure it was below expectations, but at least we had a respectable team that won games and owned the state. It was pretty obvious this would be a down year the moment Eli left early. I find it funny all those who are okay with current state football when it's been objectively in a worse spot than current state basketball. It's starting to sound a lot like all those who got sick of 8-9 win football seasons and couldn't imagine it getting any worse.
