But don't like to have their time wasted. People with like that money to drop on tickets may literally feel like their time is more valuable than the tickets they purchased—and that they'd rather write the tickets off as some kind of sunk cost.
For example, if an attorney is billing out his time at $300/hr and he's already bought tickets, he might just decide that it's better to not spend an additional $900 (in time) to watch a game that's not interesting.
There are people out there that are worth so much that it blows my mind.
