It also gives you some other info to look at that is interesting. One of those are the migration patterns of your ancestry, where they came from. The vast majority of those show my ancestors migrated from the UK and Denmark to the United States which of course lines up very closely to my genealogy records.
I’m going to assume that Ancestry.com just doesn’t categorize Danish as a specific DNA type like it does with Swedish and Norwegian because if it did the odds of me showing zero Danish in my DNA would have to be astronomical. Something should show, some percentage. There’s just no way that my ancestors could have spent hundreds of years in Denmark, even if they’d migrated from elsewhere, and not picked up some Danish along the way.
