We had 24 points at half time against McNeese. There was no urgency to score because we didn't need to.
The other false equivalency that you are making is that because USU scored 31 points against their only top 100 opponent this year (we have played 4-comparing us to NM State, Stony Brook or Air Force is just silly) that they will score that many against us. BYU does a good job of limiting possessions and holding the ball ourselves. Our defense has also been solid for the most part (last week we were not).
BYU is favored in the game for a reason. Could USU win? Of course. But what you were saying about not being able to control the ball like Air Force because we average 193 yards passing was just wrong. It wasn't an opinion wrong, it was factually incorrect.
