And we didn’t face a lot of uptempo offenses. So total plays was reduced both ways. So total yards defense allowed is not the best way to judge our defensive performance.

Take a look at our passing efficiency, sacks, and conversion % defensive numbers. Pretty abysmal. Several teams could have scored more against us if they wanted to or ran more uptempo or if our own offense didn’t operate at snails pace. We were okay at stopping the run but middle of the pack there too.

Most alarming to me was the lack of pressure and aggressive play calls. Our D Coordinator basically admitted he was too afraid to blitz. How is that good defense scheming when you clearly can’t get pressure with 4 down lineman?
