I have said many times that my support is not based on the Wins and Losses, but the opportunity to create memories with my family. My oldest brother is 14 -15 years older than me. I am closer in age to his oldest children, than I am to him. Attending games together is something that has helped us bond together and build a better relationship.

Taking my kids to games is another thing. My kids don't remember the win loss record of the games they have gone to. They don't remember that they played video games on their Nintendo DS most of the game. They do remember going to the games with Mom and Dad and Uncle Reed and screaming and cheering with the crowd. They remember meeting Cosmo, and the Toldeo Rocket dude mascot ( dude was extremely cool and nice making him our second favorite mascot after Cosmo).

Maybe that makes me the problem... But I donate because I want my kids to have those memories. I also like to think my donation is helping the athletes in the smaller sports live a dream. I don't really care if they win, as long as they are doing their best and representing BYU. Is it more fun when they win? Sure... But really the fun factor for me and my family is my responsibility more than the final score.
