Don't know that I agree. I think the schedules we have, the venues we play in, along with our facilities
don't hurt at all. If we could get to consistent double-digit winning seasons, recruiting would come along just fine. Even Kalani had a solid class lined up before we barfed up a historically bad season. Like most things, winning solved a lot of the recruiting issues. We have more games on national TV (not counting BYUTV here) than the vast majority of P5 programs and play in the best venues. ACC recruits might get a couple of good venues in their entire careers, our guys get at least 2 or 3 per year! We win, recruiting as an independent will be better than any option other than P5 invite. Throw in a NY6 bowl every few years, and we could really compete with most top P5 schools for the 4* plus kids that want (or can handle) the BYU environment.
