Cahoon became BYU's top receiver in 1997
In his senior year (1997), Cahoon became BYU's top receiver with 84 catches. He averaged 84.6 receiving yards per game during that season including an 8-catch, 217-yard performance in the Cougars' 13-10 win at Arizona State University.
