25 games IS a big enough sample size to tell you offensive coaching changes have

33 ppg over the last 10 games of 2016. Do your research before you post.

You need to stop acting like Ty isn’t a problem also. It’s obvious he is.

33 ppg puts us in the top 35 last year.

You're cherry-picking your stats
Ulysses14
11/19/17 9:12am
Not really. You just don't like that they prove the narrative wrong.
Phcole
11/19/17 9:31am
Does your research show we are actually good on offense?

11/19/17 8:59am
Do you usually make arguments using old data?
SuperTank
11/19/17 9:04am
The argument made by the OP is that last year we sucked too. It's simply untrue.
Phcole
11/19/17 9:11am
We didn't totally suck, but at times we were pretty sucky.
BluesBrother
11/19/17 9:13am
Agreed. Particularly when we didn't have an NFL running back in the game.

Overall fpi = 67. That does not suck. That's barely below byu average.
Phcole
11/19/17 10:08am
Points scored in regulation is all I care about. They sucked. Outside of Toledo and WVU, they were bad.
macaroni
11/19/17 10:35am
Then our offense has sucked often in the last 7 years.
Phcole
11/19/17 10:45am
Not like this. This is literally the worst offense in almost 50 years. Period.
macaroni
11/19/17 12:59pm
Yes. Agree, this offense is bad. Last year, not so much.
Phcole
11/19/17 1:00pm
You may want to relook at your stats. The offense doesn’t get credit for defensive TDs, nor do they get credit for OT.
macaroni

Take out defensive scores then see what our point total is per game.
budYu
11/19/17 10:00am
Ok, let me know when you've done that to the other top 50 ppg teams and I'll
Phcole
11/19/17 10:39am
Our D scored a lot more last year than normal. We were one of the better teams
budYu
11/19/17 1:25pm
So you're saying it's a talent issue?
Phcole
11/19/17 1:42pm
Mostly coaching but there was a talent drop off. Two decent QBs dropped
budYu

Hmmmmmmmm.... Remind me who the receivers were in 2015 vs 2016?
Phcole

Lets break down those 2016 games shall we

I dont know how you came to the conclusion that I believe that every offense

Your argument was that in the given sample size we cant come to conclusions abt

Your inability to infer meaning from my post only proves my point.
Phcole
11/19/17 11:23am
Your inability to make a coherent point is the point.
Malabarista
11/19/17 1:08pm
When you've made that adjustment for the other top 50 ppg teams, let me know
Phcole
11/19/17 1:14pm
No, that is what you are doing.
Malabarista
11/19/17 1:31pm
I'm not changing the data for one team and leaving the others unadjusted.
Phcole
11/20/17 1:43pm
LOL. Seriously.

When your offense was utterly reliant on one player, you’ve got problems because

We took a top 25 Boise team to the wire without him. We weren't that reliant on

How did we score in that game? Did you already forget???

Yes, that Boise State game is proof of a great offense. SMH

Keep doubling down, brother. If his name were Smith and never played at BYU,

Fire ty, doesn't matter to me. This season was bad enough to justify it. No need
Phcole

WVU wasn't a good offensive game either. O had 4 TOs and a pick 6.

I was OK with that game. It was reminiscent of the old days
CougarLoyalist
11/20/17 11:17am
Even our limited offensive success in 2016 was fool's gold ...
BluesBrother
11/19/17 8:49am
And our D was a turnover machine last year
Ulysses14
11/19/17 9:01am
Right. Didn't we get 6 TOs from Utah and still lose?!?
BluesBrother
11/19/17 9:10am
Against Utah and Boise State.
pinolero
11/19/17 9:12am
Two pick 6's and we still lost against Boise st.

No accountability and a lack of hard work/effort in practice

I'm hoping. Because I can't take another season like this.

The program needs an overhaul. More accountability starting with the little things. Follow the example of the

Problems on both sides of the ball.

I agree that offense is a problem, but question how much is also a HC problem
