You are too smart of dude to not think through the variables...
If we were in the MWC would a higher priority been in place going into both of those games?
Would the players have played differently knowing that those games had impact on them getting their names on trophies and banners and getting a ring, and who knows, maybe even deciding the NY6 game?
Let say we are still 0-2, would the players play differently and the coaches make different decisions going forward knowing they could railroad higher seeded SDSU's dreams of a NY6 as each conference game will have impact on the entire conference?
You see how being 0-2, there are still meaningful games to play if you are in a conference?
It's not so black and white as "oh well we lost to two MWC teams anyway."
