Lubbock is easier because of chartered flights and Southwest connections IMO
That being said, I doubt there are many USC fans in Lubbock country, while I would guess there are many USC fans in other PAC 12 locations.

I doubt they go that direction...perhaps a merger between the two

That is another possibility I considered.

But would WVU approve USC...I mean, that's a big travel issue for them.

I think in any growth scenario, WVU leaves to ACC as part of a mutual agreement

For sure. It was mostly a TIC comment (after last year).

WVU is in the Big 12 because the ACC didn't want them.

ACCN might, might be a small reason. Because of the DC market
Nat Gas Man

Doesn't ACC have DC covered with Virginia and NC schools?

With the loss of Maryland, I don't think UVA will give enough coverage...maybe

Most zip codes in the Northern Virginia area list VA Tech as #1 and UVA as #2

Serious Question: How much more money for WVU to travel to USC versus going to

USC doesnt really need money. 0 chance they leave the California schools for

They wouldn't have to leave all the schools. Likely they will take Stanford

They both have a nationwide recruiting bases. They could care less about having

If they want some Texas recruiting, the PAC will add Big 12 schools

Not a chance.

I understand the academics argument. Solid in the PAC 12.

How much money has Colorado lost? 100 mil?

Link? I think you are vastly overestimating those numbers.

TV money is just part of the equation
boscatar

It doesn't have to leave alone, it could take as many as 5 teams with them..

6/20/17 11:37am
It would be the other way around, no? PAC brings on B12 schools
boscatar
6/20/17 12:00pm
I could see the B1G poach some of the PAC
boscatar
6/20/17 10:33am
The PAC in that scenario is Utah, WSU, ASU, and OSU.

I'd take a conference that gets us the Utah rivalry over Thanksgiving and

B1G & Big12 fans don't want to watch confer games that start at 10:00/9:00 ET/CT

No.

I think it's more likely to see more independents than the P12 dissolving

This is an interesting point, what about the formation of a mini-conference

That's an option too!
Thug Mormons

The Arizona schools would be the most likely candidates
Cougarpride

I would agree they would be the easiest to poach.

The AZ schools love recruiting CA but dislike the CA-centric attitude.Doubt they

Not happening. I highly doubt the next deal will be very favorable to the B12.

most pac12 fans i know are pissed about their TV situation. And it doesn't look like it's getting better

Before current P12 deal the P10 lagged in TV revenue. It's not new.

Have you read articles about P12 network? they are also a dumpster fire...

Most P12 schools (shoot, most schools, period) are not as money driven as UT
