is how special Jamal Williams is, and how lucky BYU was to have a person of his caliber stick around for five years. This kid stuck with BYU when he didn't have to and when he had a lot of attractive offers elsewhere. He did this even after BYU kicked him out for engaging in a behavior that is not at all abnormal for the overwhelming majority of college campuses. Yeah, he signed the Honor Code. I get it.
I'm sure Jamal would point out that BYU gave him a lot back as well because he is that type of person. Credit to his mother and his family unit for raising such a great kid with so much personality who proved that a non-LDS, African American kid can thrive at BYU.
