"There were games this year where Dinkelmann didn’t put up huge numbers but that was usually because his team didn’t need them to win. The junior played great late in the year and during the playoffs when Somerset reached the 3rd round. I still believe his skill set and size makes him a prospect with incredible upside."
He has the size and obviously the potential otherwise he wouldn't have been looked at early on. He needed to come into his own against better competition since once in HS and not going against little kids anymore. But last year he seemed to come on strong to end the season and hopefully he picks up where he left off.
If he's humble and teachable, he's got everything else. Still has a senior season to show something big. He wasn't going to stick with LSU regardless. Whether they moved on, which is likely since they already had two other commits, or whether he moved from them, which is just as likely and it may have been mutual, doesn't matter because the latter was going to happen anyway.
I see what you mean about Torre but let's see if he can do something with his senior year. Torre failed on that part after going out with an injury I believe. He might not get big offers by that point because it will take his senior year to prove to teams that he is now what he once was, and QBs typically commit early so a lot of programs may already have their guys.
