I 80 runs east to west. Nobody has an issue with the
western 1/4 of the state. And very little of that touches I 80. Snake back and forth between eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming and beauty abounds.
So, yes, ignore I 80 from Rock Springs to Cheyenne. Go north of I 80 on the western border and enjoy all the way to Yellowstone.
