Wyoming has a top running back - countered by BYU's SwagDaddy
Wyoming has a top receivers - BYU is inconsistent at WR
Wyoming has a big, mobile QB who can pass - BYU counter's with Tanner, who is unproven in the new offense covering 60 minutes of play
Our defense will have to put pressure on their QB while not loading the box in order to cover the passing game of Wyo. It will be interesting to see if BYU tries to take away the running game or the passing game?
I believe Wyo will load the box as other teams have done this year to stop SwagDaddy, and see if Tanner and the WR's can beat them in the passing game.
I know that Wyo was good at home 6-0, and below average on the road - and before some compare the schedule - BYU's schedule turned out to be weaker than what showed on paper, although BYU IMO played a tougher schedule but not as much as some might believe...
At home, Wyo's offense averaged 36 pts and on the road Wyo averaged 36 pts
At home, Wyo's defense gave up 27 pts and on the road Wyo gave up 44 pts.
At home, BYU's offense averaged 36 pts and on the road averaged 24 and neutral sites averaged 25 pts
At home, BYU's defense averaged 20 pts and on the road gave up 16 pts and neutral sites 26 pts.
Wyo beat BSU by two, we lost by one to BSU with essentially the same scores: We lost 28-27 and Wyo won 30-28
Wyo beat USU by 24, we beat USU by 18.
Being a neutral site, if Wyo's defense shows, it could be a close tough game. If Wyo's defense stays in Laramie as they have in previous away games, BYU will win the game.
I do not know how the special teams align with each other?
Go Cougars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
