I too would go to Stanford over BYU, but it's not a no brainer.
There is more to a college decision than school rankings on a sheet of paper and for some kids BYU may be the perfect fit.
Based purely on academics, though, and the name value of a degree after leaving school I would choose Stanford.

I love BYU. But BYU is no Stanford.

Why would you do that? I don't understand your reasoning. Not even a little.

Data on his recommendations?

Data that indicates that Stanford degrees are the equivalent of BYU degrees.

Stanford has the #2 MBA behind Harvard...BYU's is in the 30's
BigYfan
9/30/16 2:02pm
An MBA is irrelevant for a student athlete. It's a graduate degree

Many student athletes who redshirt go into those programs...for free

There are certain undergrad degrees at BYU that match up very well to Stanford's

Lol, not true at all. Just having Stanford's name on your degree, regardless
