Maybe. In soccer two referees has been tried at various stages especially in
the US and the preference for coaches and referees is the current one center system. Maybe they didn't give it a shot at a high enough level. Currently there are six eyes on the field. The referee and two ARs. So by switching to a two referee system you'd actually be decreasing eyeballs on the play. Unless you propose two referees and two ARs, which would be interesting.
