Actually yes, if it hits him in the hands it is most certainly "catchable."
That wasn't an easy ball to grab, but he still had a great opportunity to catch it. That's a ball he would probably end up catching 6 or 7 of 10 times.

If you watched Ty Detmer's career at BYU, that's who he is

Agreed. I like the aggressiveness but I don't think we have an offense that is

Ty was a master at reading defenses

Wow, didn't realize he threw that many picks. Crazy he threw 28 INTs and still

If the internet had existed in the early 80s fans would have convinced

The last pick was deja vu to the end of the 91 Holiday Bowl

Makes me wonder if this is why he didn't take the job w/Bronco..too conservative

Slo mo is often NOT your critical friend. Just something to consider.

That is true. Just like police officers, it's easy to criticize players who have

Slo mo is more instructive of what shoulda been done in terms of assignments

#1, is all Taysom. #2, Taysom, but less than people think. #3, same as #2.

ask any receiver who has played, to a man, they say Juergens should catch that
smokymountainrain
9/25/16 12:41pm
Completely disagree - Ball is sailing up still, Juergens is fully extended with

Mitchell does not have his arms fully extended. The pass is high but not 3-4

Ether way he was way too open for that to be an incompletion much less a pick

That's a different angle then the one shown in the broadcast. From that angle
CosmosCuzzn
9/25/16 3:25pm
Agree, this would be an amazing catch for any receiver. It's on Taysom

Disagree on #2. Jeurgens had both hands on the ball with palms facing outwards.

This is the correct analysis. Thank you.

You could argue 3 was also bad play design or poor player execution

Yep... I'm wondering if either Hifo ran his route to long

Then you'd know that full arm extension isn't as easy and sometimes isn't possible.

All three are poorly placed balls. #1 was a dumb panic play.
