Let me get this straight...
Players get a playbook,
they get weeks to study it to memorize the plays,
new players struggle to learn "the system",
and UTEP produced such a bunch of genius-level players that they could get a relayed call passed in from the sideline and in 10-15 seconds adjust their alignment to the play based on the name of the play.
All of these claims accuse the BYU coaches of being so bad at naming plays that UTEP could recognize the appropriate alignment based only on the name.(Since I have heard no one accuse UTEP of having the playbook.)
So a play call is "Have Bosco hand the ball off to the full back running between the left guard and left tackle."
And BYU can't adjust on the "called" plays and bounce out where the 11 PRE-pared UTEP defenders aren't standing.
GIVE IT A REST!!!! It was 20 years ago.
