Every month (if you subscribe to Playstation Network) you'll get a few games for free so long as you pay their monthly fee, or if you re-activate your account at a later date you can still play the games you accumulated during your membership. A lot of the indy games end up being promoted via the free month and they include a LOT of fun games across all genres.
Kinect is okay, but pretty gimmicky. If you want something that solely concentrates on the family just get a Nintendo instead of Microsoft's watered down version of it.
PS4 has the market, staying power, exclusive titles... well let's just say you're going to get far more bang for your buck and we all know cougarboarders are always looking for a good deal/value.
