IMO, This is one of the many reasons why Bronco has the toughest job in college football.
I think there's a team development/convenience aspect to this but there is also an individual development/convenience element.
There's a reason the annex was a priority for Bball.
If the IPF was used in the same way, you would have more FB players practicing foot work, technique, combine drills, developing chemistry between their teammates on both sides of the ball...this = better more athletetic FB players. Better prepared to win more FB games. The IPF should be footballs playground where all your skills can be developed.
How about when Max Hall/Collie/Pitta had to make pals with BYU workers and convince them to just let them "sneak" in for workouts to improve their games? Not all FB players are that resourceful.
Obviously I'm biased here. But if you want to be elite this day in age, why not give athletes all the tools/opportunities to be elite? The entire school will benefit from it.
