I'm sorry, but BYU students suck, and this is coming from a BYU grad. The vast majority of them consider going to football games a "social outing", and not a sporting event. With the high admissions standards BYU now has, let's face it, the majority of the kids getting into the Y are not sports fans. They couldn't care less if the Cougars were playing USC or UC Santa Barbara, and the vast majority of them wouldn't be able to identify the difference.

There were numerous games I went to last year, before the Taysom Hill injury, where the student section was only 60-70% full, at best. They just don't care. They're more excited about going to get the free T-shirt and frisbee than they are about watching BYU football.

Open it back up to UVU students and give us a chance to have a real student section, with real kids that don't have an average GPA of 3.9 and ACT of 29.
