that would prevent BYU from being included in the playoffs if we're ranked top 4. Now, to be ranked top 4, we'd have to be undefeated and a couple very elite programs would have to have two or more losses. We'd be able to reach top 4 if undefeated even if some higher-level programs have just one loss. This list of programs that would jump over us with only one loss isn't too huge. So, it would be tough to reach top 4, but not impossible.

To reach one of the other top bowls, we'd have to be at least top 10 to have a chance. Some years, we'd have to be top 6 or 7 to get there.
