From The Athletic this morning: "This should really be about Jazz fans because what they've had to watch for most of this season has been truly terrible. The product has been so bad that the Jazz are now trying to rebrand this as the first true season of the rebuild, because the previous two seasons were "teardown" seasons. I'm sorry, but the summer you traded Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert for a truckload of picks, you started rebuilding. It's an interesting marketing ploy, but it doesn't work that way."
End quote.
I still don't understand what Danny and Co were trying to accomplish 2 seasons prior to this obvious tanking season. Waiting until after the All-Star break and deciding to tank then.....not being able to pick which fork in the road you'll take until it's too late was a really bad strategy in my opinion. It set the rebuild back a few seasons.
I took my kids to a game the other night because of free Junior Jazz tickets and man what an awful product to behold. I hate that my 13 yr old has to watch this crap. When I was his age the Jazz were trying to win and fun to watch and it sparked my fandom. Now I'm so ambivalent towards them and the NBA as a whole that it's gonna take something pretty incredible to bring me back.
