Note: I did advertising at the Daily Universe when I was at BYU. I once used the artwork of several women for a promotion. I got a couple calls asking who these girls were. I just said that I didn't know – which was the truth. Also thought it was creepy. I wouldn't have given any names out anyway.... and this was in the early 90s.

There was a missionary in my mission who was stranger than a $3 bill. He obviously hadn't ever had much interaction with females. On one of the church magazines, there was a really pretty teenage girl from Scandanavia (I think) on the front page. It was an international magazine, so I don't remember which one it was. We were in Micronesia, so it might have been the Tambuli or something.
Anyway, this missionary wrote to the church headquarters asking for her contact information and was convinced they would send it to him. I think he said he wrote that he had a spiritual impression he should contact her. I can only imagine how big the eye-roll in SLC was when they read the letter.
