Some interesting nuggets from recent KY interviews.
Says the staff has been having conversations with the parents and agents of players about whether or not they’ll return next season. In the past these discussions would likely happen directly with the players. However, as part of the professionalizing of college sports these convos take place with intermediaries.

KY said over the last 3-4 years the NBA has become much more open to taking older players out of college. He didn’t extrapolate much on this, but the implication is this is a good thing for college basketball. Players may feel a bit less urgency to get to the League especially if they are a fringe draft pick. They can stay in college another year or two to solidify their draft status.
