Watching a lot of the post-game shows and the analysts breaking things down it was great to hear them all praise Kevin Young. Over and over they referenced him instituting an NBA style of play with the pace and spacing. Several said this was the style that many schools will try to copy. It is difficult to defend and if you move the ball, like BYU does, you end up with open shots.

One analyst made the point that players watching BYU play will only make them want to play in that type offense and make it much easier for Young to recruit. Of course they mentioned Dybantsa but said the pipeline will only get stronger.

I believe that Young will build a program that will challenge for the Big 12 title on a regular basis and make deep runs in the tournament. Most of them say they would rather see BYU play Alabama because they think BYU can outshoot Alabama. St. Mary will try to slow the game down and make it a slugfest. I am torn because if BYU gets off to a similar start as they did against Wisconsin then it makes it difficult for a team like St. Mary to slow the game down.
