Last year BYU didn't have the option to play an inside, take the ball to the hoop game. Until recent weeks I would have assumed any game BYU shot worse from 3 and made less than half as many 3s as the opponent was a loss. Not only did BYU win with lower 3% (still not bad with 35%) and less than half as many made 3s, but they were comfortably ahead almost the entire game.
KYoung is showing to be an amazing addition. In game, not just halftime, adjustments to how his players are playing, how the other team is playing... Keeping players happy. Catchings seems happy, even though his role has changed. Hall looked a little lost early in the year with his role change from basically running the team last year to not this year. Playing players according to situations with 11 players significant contributors.
The future of BYU looks bright. I look forward to coming years as KYoung builds and melds the team to match his hopes and expectations. He was hired less than a year ago and has created a team that is playing as well as almost any team in the country the last 1 1/2 to 2 months. So excited.
