When offensive player is driving right, the defender reaches his right arm across his body kind of going for a steal but more to make contact and impede progress of offensive player. Significant contact is made between the right elbow and right shoulder of the defender to the left half of the offensive players body. It is significant contact that slows the offensive guy down and pushes defender back into a defensive position. VCU did it more but we did it too and I don’t remember it being called on either side. Always looks like an obvious foul to me…like defender throwing body in front of a guy driving.
Has there been a rule change that makes that type of contact ok? It isn’t a hard swipe at the ball.
