CrimWalCoug All-American in practice
Some great results from the Cougars at Indoor Track & Field Nationals.
MEN
5000m
Casey Clinger gets 4th and Creed Thompson got 8th. Casey’s 13:13 broke his own school record, and Creed’s 13:19 is #2 all-time at BYU. They both ran smart races, were patient, and brought home 1st Team All-American honors.

DMR
The relay team broke their own school record by two seconds and finished 5th in a loaded field. The team of Carter Cutting (1200m), Tyler Mathews (800m), stud 400m runner (not sure which one), and Lucas Bons (1600m) earned 1st Team All-American honors.

WOMEN
5000m
Lexy Halladay-Lowry ran an absolutely gutsy race and took 2nd to the all-time NCAA leader in the event by 0.2 seconds. Great showing.

DMR
Riley Chamberlain is an absolute beast. Jenna Hutchins, who is very much a 5k/10k gal, went down in distance and ran a gutsy 1200m leg. Sami Oblad ran a solid 400m leg, and true freshman, Tessa Buswell, ran an okay 800m leg. Riley gets the baton, and we’re behind by about four seconds. She runs a genius 1600m leg and passes girls on the last lap to take 1st for the second year in a row.
