more I think about it I actually love it. It allows me a lot of time to talk to my sons about school, church, hunting etc. I've tried to turn the radio off more and just talk. My oldest is 12 and it makes me sad to think that sooner than later these long drives in the truck will end. I hope one day he will look back and appreciate it but even if he doesn't I know it's time I'll never get back. He wrestles with Sanderson wrestling and his coach Cyler Sanderson shared a statistic that stated by age 12 approximately 75% of the total time parents will ever spend with their children has already occurred. By age 18 it is estimated that 90% of the time parents will ever spend with their children has already occurred.
He said his dad was always asked about his son's success in wrestling and his answer was always the same "I was just looking for an opportunity to spend time with my boys.”
That's exactly how I feel with my kids. Sorry to ramble but I'm currently sitting in my truck waiting for my oldest to finish up practice.
