Hi there -
My wife (mid 30’s) has been dealing with constant dizziness and chest pain/compression for the last month. She describes the chest pain as though one of our kids is sitting on her chest. She can still breathe but has a hard time getting a deep breath. It also affects her sleeping.
The dizziness she describes as feeling lightheaded and a hard time focusing. It’s pretty constant she says. It’s slowly getting worse. She’s stubborn and I didn’t realize how constant these problems were happening until she finally told me a few days again.
She went to her primary care doctor on Friday. They had her wear an EKG monitor for 24 hours (still waiting on results) while recording whenever she felt these symptoms (which shocked me when I saw she’s experiencing multiple times an hour). They also ran a blood test which came back normal today. Her blood pressure is excellent.
She has said these symptoms come at totally random times. She can’t link them to anything specific.
Any ideas? Next steps? She has a follow up with her doctor on Thursday. I guess I’m just nervous because she’s never had these symptoms before. The constant dizziness worries me to whenever she drives which she is really limiting now. She gave birth to our third child 4 months ago.
Searching the internet / ChatGPT gives a million possibilities. Not very helpful to be honest. Any advice would be appreciated.
