We have a Christmas Eve tradition of skiing as a family, and we head to Chick-Fil-A drive thru for breakfast on the way.
As I was driving near Chick-Fil-A in Traverse in Lehi, there was a big white SUV behind me. I went down to the further left hand turn and he turned into the “earlier” exit turn and beat me to the drive thru.
I grumbled to my kids about him turning into an exit and beating me to the drive thru. I was even more annoyed when he seemed to take a lot of time at the window.
I got to the window to pay and get our food, and learned that the gentlemen in the white SUV had paid for our entire breakfast ($40+)
I felt like a fool for complaining to my kids about him and was not only touched by the kind act of service but learned a valuable (and timely) lesson about passing judgment on a random person that had crossed my path that I clearly knew nothing about.
Merry Christmas everyone!
