(MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW)

So...first off I can't believe how many characters are killed off...Pedro Pascal dies, both crazy emperors die, Lucilla dies, Denzel Washignton dies, Denzel Washington's servant dies, even old senator Gracchus dies just for good measure. Paul Mesacal's wife dies before we can actually know her...but did the monkey die?...no I think the monkey lives!

Who knew it was always going to be Lucious Verus who would carry on the dream that was once Rome. Yes the long haired kid that spoke and looked like a girl in the original.

I really liked the battle scenes in this. Great opening battle, and the naval gladiatorial battle was great.

Huge hero in this was Ravi the self appointed Colosseum doctor. That is Paul Revere level courage right there.

I liked how Mescal donned on Maximus's armor at the end, nice tie in.

Overall good movie to see, but as predicted, nowhere near the epic that is Gladiator. Whatevs
