Christmas gifts between neighbors can be tough
We did some very small gifts for some of our neighbors, no more than $2-3 in value. One of my neighbors just brought my family a giant chocolate cake from the Dodo. Now, we feel like jerks.

Life is better if there are no neighbor gifts. Unfriendliness ftw.

My next door neighbor only gifts to 3 of us and always does a fun, gourmet gift

It is awkward sometimes. We have out fresh loaves of bread from a bakery…

This thread is interesting. Why do y'all give gifts? To get in return?

That’s what I am talking about. I don’t give to receive and when I receive something big, it makes me uncomfortable

I guess I could see that if it's REALLY big. But you "give back" by enjoying it

Who cares if you get a gift in return or the value of it. Some of you are weird.

That's why you get your gift out early. Set the budget for the neighbors
