Forbes says the budget for Andor Season 2 is $290m.
Season 1 was incredible, and I’m very excited for Season 2, but how does this make financial sense for Disney/LucasFilm?

Season 1 was a huge with audiences and critics, but it’s not like the viewership numbers were crazy good or anything. I’d imagine after a few years of hype Season 2 should be better, but we are still talking about a good sized audience, not like peak Thrones or something.

$290m is up there with some of the most expensive movies out there. I guess I don’t understand streaming TV budgets or financial projections. Maybe they just don’t care if it loses millions of it builds the Star Wars brand.
