Seeing the results of the CFP first round confirms the B12 got hosed.
P2 conferences were complaining about needing more spots in the CFP and then the third place team from both leagues got blown out in the first round (Indiana (3rd place B1G) and Tennesee (3rd place SEC)).

Then the ACC gets two bids to the B12's one bid in spite of the B12 having a stronger SOS and in spite of 10-2 BYU handing the ACC regular season champion its only loss. Nobody looked at that and thought, "well if BYU can beat SMU and SMU can go undefeated in the ACC then maybe the computers are actually right and the B12 is a tougher league than the ACC?"

I guess if Arizona State gets blown out by Texas after Clemson kept it reasonably close, then this logic falls apart, but based on what we know right now, the B12 should have snagged two bids. I think any of the 2 loss B12 teams or Colorado would have put up more of a fight than we saw from SMU, Indiana, or Tennessee. I'm going to point to this in the future when fans of P2 conferences talk about how they deserve 4-5 bids.

Obviously this is all easier to see in hindsight. We really need ASU to win a game or two in this playoff to build a little more respect for the B12, particularly compared to the ACC. The ACC is getting the benefit of the doubt because it has teams that are bound for the P2 still in it and so it was a good thing that they bombed in this CFP. Hopefully that goes away in the future.
