I'm late to this party, but how is a 2 loss P4 conference runner up ranked
higher than a 2 loss P4 Conference champion?
Especially since the 2 conferences are considered to be on the same level.
With the dumb first round bye rules it doesn't matter anyway, but it still makes no sense.
Arizona St has a better resume than Boise St or SMU.
The Big 12 really got the short end this year.
