I read an article that says he was a mainstay, but not particularly good at anything. I watched a podcast where they tore into the coaching staff for playing him more than Demin. I watched with a friend who coaches a high school team and he kept asking why that guy was in the game (At this point Demin was injured, but he said they should be playing Baker at the point....I told him Crawford wasn't there yet in terms of being able to run the team).
Are they right? Most fans who have watched us for the past 3 years think Hall is a crucial piece in our basketball team.
The stats definitely agree with the outsiders, but it is a limited sample size (although his stats have never looked particularly good) with him coming back from an injury.
I honestly don't know what the answer is. Lots of Dallin's habits bug me (a PG should never be someone who makes the ball sticky), but he has helped us win a lot of games. I just find it curious that he seems to be so maligned by those outside of the BYU circle.
