My son's flight was delayed today and doesn't look like he's getting home tonight. They rebooked him on a couple of different flights now. The thing is that he is now connecting through Charlotte and then has to wait until the morning to catch a flight to Greensboro. Would the airline care if he doesn't show up to the Greensboro flight? IOW, if I just pick him up in Charlotte tonight so he's not spending the night there?

My only worry is that they won't like that and then they cancel his return flight.
