This is why TCUs second longest drought is only 2, since their only championship was in 1938, and why BYUs longest is 48 and not 40.

Note - LSU won the BCS in 03, but USC won the AP. This would change LSUs drought from 49 to 45, and USCs drought from 31 to 32
