Sicko's committee podcast: Independence Bowl officials did go by APR but 16 teams declined before LT accepted. lol
I had just figured they skipped APR and went with LT for convenience. Turns out these teams all said no, in this order: Cincy, Wisconsin, AFA, Auburn, UVA, Utah, Oregon State, Mich State, UCLA, ODU, Kansas, EMU, App St, Hawaii, Nevada, Charlotte.
ULM was the only 5-7 team left. I wonder what they would have done if LT and ULM said no. Cancel the game? Go to any 4-8 teams?
