So my daughter is on the national tour for How the Grinch Stole Christmas, which is Broadway musical adaption of the book (and the animated movie, I think). I've been on a few stops on the tour with her and I had no idea that there is this cult following of people for the Grinch. Like, people will turn up to the show in Grinch gear. I've seen grinch onesies, and full families wearing Grinch sweatshirts. Kids are carrying green grinch plushies. I would have never known. And according to the production company, this is a tradition for families, they come and see How the Grinch Stole Christmas musical and laugh, cheer, and sing.

My thoughts? The people managing the Theodore Geisel estate have done a bang-up job in maximizing the merchandising of this book. God Bless American Capitalism I guess.

Anyway, my daughter's leg of the tour is currently in Boston, if anyone from CB has seen it. The show is double casted, so depending on which day you went, you might have seen her. She's the Asian girl playing Annie Who (the older sister of Cindy Lou Who).
