I could probably shop for my son for days, and there’s plenty of fun kid stuff, but he has more stuff than time to a day to utilize it.

My wife also has so much stuff and shops a lot. So it’s hard to find stuff to buy her. This year we just got back from a big trip and spent a lot, so we are limiting spending to $100 each and stocking stuffers, which makes the whole situation even worse. There’s literally nothing I can buy and put in a stocking that she couldn’t buy for herself.

There’s also nothing I really want in a stocking. I despise Knick knacks and I’m a purger. I just get rid of stuff all the time but there’s always more stuff.

I like Christmas as a holiday in theory, but struggling this year. It’s probably part of a broader mid life crisis…
