I’m just wondering if this isn’t precisely new money. The donors have been supplementing BYU athletics for a long time. With the new media contracts and BYU getting tens of millions of dollars more than theywere previously, I think it opened the doors for the donors to put their money toward the athletes.

I think the excitement around the program helps a lot, and I’m sure more people are donating and increasing their amounts, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this is happening right when we started getting big checks from the Big 12.
